With the exception of the plastic guards, which come off very easily, the two appear to be identical. Just rotate the ring around to where the split is just in front of the bore through the stud on the camera. Then slip the blade of a thin screwdriver between the halves to spread the ring. Then push the opening onto the stub. Remove the screwdriver, and then rotate the ring around until it is free.
