Nice bag Robert. Just out of curiosity, how much does it weight?
I have most of this but rarely take it all with me.

Usually, I leave home with either D700 or 600, 16-35 f4, 55 1.2, 85 1.4, tamron 28-200. I try to use available light and sometimes there is just not enough...

Wow Robert, you don't travel light! But lots of good ideas in your post!!!

Sounds like you need a cart instead of a bag!

Hey Rick,

Believe it or not that all fits in my Tenba Black Label shoulder bag. That's about as light as it gets for me to feel comfortable, knowing I'm prepared for just about anything I need to shoot.

I have 3 additional lighting bags when I shoot on location and I either use a cart or handtruck depending on the terrain and distance from the car.

I honestly have no idea of how much it weighs. It's not light but even though it's a shoulder bag, I never really use it as such. I just find it to be a compact and convenient way to transport my gear.

If I had to have a bag on my shoulder while working it would be scaled down considerably. When I shoot events I don't carry a bag at all. All my event work is shot with the D700, SB-900 and Newton flash bracket. CF cards and spare batteries go in my pockets and that's it.

CF card you will most certainly not need - your camera takes SD cards. Lens pen is a good little tool to have and a sync cord as well. If you are a beginner, forget about everything else, you don't need it. The only thing that the other items will do, is confuse you. Learn everything you can about your camera, shoot and shoot more, learn the basics of photography. After that, you may want to think about those other things or you may find them useless.
