Yongnuo 565EX dead

Well, my 565EX took a dump after a few months of very light use. Powers up, but the green light stays on (flash not ready). None of the control buttons work except the power on/off. All I get is at tick tick tick sound after 5 seconds of power on. New batteries. I don't know of any factory reset button combination.
Guess it's time to return. :(
Anyone else run into this? Maybe time to break down and get a SB700.

What kind of batteries are you using? Else sounds like it could indeed have croaked, and shame that in only a few months. Mine was going strong for over a year and still is in my friend's hands.
