The first shot I just over laid an image of fire I took the other night. For the second photo I put my camera on auto timer and then took a candle and moved it around my head. The issue I ran into was I had the shutter speed on for 8 seconds so I was a little blurry because I could not hold completely still for that long. I had my son move the candle around my head for the effect. So the second photo is not layer with the fire. I did use a mask on the second image to darken the background. After spilling some wax on the floor my wife said I can't use candles like this anymore. Thankfully I was able to hurry and get the wax up before it stayed in the carpet.
