As far as I was aware, the area didn't have any sort of camera shop. I was looking on Craigslist for a cheap monitor for help when I'm editing. I came across an ad for high quality tripods. After I looked at the ad, I found out they were being sold by a local camera shop. As it turns out, the guy that runs it was a professional who bought and sold used gear for years as a hobby, He had a rental home without a tenant, a bunch of inventory, and a love of gear. So he opened a camera shop about 15 minutes outside of the city. He's a very nice and knowledgeable guy with some cool stuff. His prices are great and he's got most of the gear I'm looking for. I'm certain I'll be supporting his business.
