I gave the Nikkor 70--200 a bit more of a test at an Ultimate Frisbee game,, which required focus tracking and well fast focusing, so,, how did it do?

DSC_9253 got it smaller.jpg

I think this is plenty sharp, this was taken with my Nikon DF,,,

so,, now a month with the DF and my love for Nikon is back! course, my nephew had to show me a Nikon FM2 he just
got for FREE in the parts bin,, perfectly fine,, and ok,, the DF is still big compared to the original Nikon beauties, but
I have accepted that Nikon is not nimble enough to really come thru with the PERFECT camera,

but for now, the DF comes pretty dam close.

How close, well, for an upcoming Yosemite trip,, the DF,, will be the camera! and the Sony, maybe backup!

Hands down, my conclusion on the 70-200, is well, no stress lens.

I often set my WB, but do sometimes use the AUTO mode, I'll check out the Auto2, thanks for the update, do you have the DF?

I too like to set my wb at the very least using one of the modes. If it is a one off quick shot I am typically in auto wb. I shoot RAW so it is not a big deal but I do strive to control the camera as much as possible to save time editing.

Yes I have a Df one of the first 300 to hit USA shores. The price on used bodies is getting so good I am seriously thinking about buying another one maybe even two.
