Yeah,, a full day off,, and will be able to take photos of Niagara falls today!
I love Niagara falls, one of the most exotic locations in all of US,, really! I think some people stay away because well parts of its tacky, and well can be overwelmed by tourist,, but it is such a large object, that really cannot overwelm with poeple.
Course I'll be doing some night shots, so people won't matter, and then get up before sunreise,, get the photo before the croweds,,
early bird gets the worm as they say,,
Kept my gear fairly light,, so standard set
D800
Nikkor 20-36 2,8
Nikkor 35-70 2.8
Nikkor 80-400
Nikkor 15 mm 35.
Nikkor 85 mm 1.4 (just for fun)
laughs,, newest lens in age is the 80-400 and it is 8 years!
the 85 1.4 is the old AIS version,, pretty old,, and the 14 3.5 is quite ancient,, but,,, love .. love.. love this lens... oh,,, do you think I love this lens,, yup,,,
would I like to move up the newer triilogy,, yes,, and no,, I love the new optics of these three lens, but,, not the size,,
I can literaly tuck the 35-70 in a pocket,, while swithcihg to the 20-35,, and vice versa.. you cannnot do that with then ewer ones.
Sharpness,, these lens work fine with the D800, actually all of the above lens are very sharp,,
I got the 35-70 direct from a stroe in Japan,, wow, it wss immaculate,, literaly brand new,, I actually just about wore out my older copy, and could not think of not keeping one in my kit,, so,, got one while they were still pristine,,
of the new triology,,, I still lust for the 14-24,, thinking of selling my D5000 and 18-200 VRII to build some cash,, yup,, soon. I have decided that I don't need the 5000, and well really the 18-200 mostl collects dust. even don't use it on my D7000. why,, well,, i find this zoom just doesn't make the sharpness level.
