Year 2! completes,, and I thank the community for this opportunity to write this daily blog,,,
And what a year it has been, with 2 wedding gigs, a dedicated 10 day photo trip out west,, and continuation
of teaching my seminars,,,
Equipment additions were limited to the 14x24 lens,, but what an addition it has been, so so satisfied
with this lens, and I have totally merged this lens as one of my primary lens.
and maybe as a bit of a celebration of this mark,, today,, I did two things, first tablets were on
sale at Amazon,, 500 dollars off of a model
ASUS VivoTab TF810C-C2-GR 11.6-Inch 64 GB Tablet (Gray) with Microsoft Office H&S
I want one of these for when you go to galleries or potential clients,, easier to show your porfolio.
and secondly,, I filled out my LLC form,, up to now,, I have not been a LLC,, but time to make it more formal,,
as far as photography,, the portfolio has had some solid additions,, enough so,, that time to really gleam the
saved best folders and start to create another layer. best of the sorted shots,,
I am thinking of phasing in the top top 50 shots,, the ones that absolutely makes the wall,
and then maybe the top 25,, really put the critical eye,, and frankly,, make the top 25 so hard,, that maybe only
10-15 can be selected from the current 1500 portfolio shots.
actually, laughs,, I really don't know the size of my portfolio,, never really count,, but,, has reached
the unruly phase.
My method is simple
source files go into selected edit folders,, which typically holds about 100-150 of picked out shots I want to edit, Currently the folder
count is at 81,, so about 10,000 shots there, I edit about 1/10 photos,, so about 100,000 shots.
and then the sorted the best of those into the portfolio for around 1500-2000 portfolio shots.
and now the need to filter those down to the best of say 150 photos.
and then the last layer of the pride shots.
anyway,, this concludes Year 2 of Why not a Blog, I hope people enjoyed at a few of the posts..
