One advantage, is that good for picture taking, essentially a platform on the lake. I'll bring the 80-400 as the primarylens, along with a normal lens,, most likely the 24-85,  D7000 or D800,, a toss up,, D7000 because if If drop, well its not as large of a loss. type of pictures will be fisherman, sail boats, and of course some Landscape. Will any of the pictures be any good, maybe. but,, hey,, its a day on the lake,,I'll bring a fishingpole too and drop a line or two,,, if no good pictures, maybe dinner.</blockquote>
