Picked up my D800 from its bath,, and it is always a thrill,, all sparkling clean,, from the mirror to the sensor, Almost
as good as getting a brand new camera.
Now that the camera is no longer a Pig, it changes my focus on the lens,,, find myself now cleaning each lens,, to rise
the everything to sparkling condition,, not like my gear is dirty,, but you do find yourself becoming a bit casual with
the care.
I even changed out my midrange lens.. for the walkaround mode.
I have been using my 35-70 2.8,, which I love, but my polarizer filter seems to be almost cross threaded,, I hate when that
happens, I can't get a good enough grip to take it off, I have to dig out my filter remover tool (wonder where I put that),,
so, I pulled out the 24-85 3.5 ED,,, really a nice lens,, no not as fast the the trinity 2.8,, but also quite a bit smaller,
and really fits nicely on the D800.
so for a bit,,
14-24 2.8 Nikkor
24-85 3.5 Nikkor
80-400 Nikkor
I know,, why not the 80-200 2.8, well I love the extra reach of the 400,, and like I have stated in previous blogs,, I have
been quite pleased with the sharpness of this 80-400,, and the size and weight is less than my 80-200.
with of course other primes/zooms as needed.
course its a gray yucky day,,,, blah.
Bring on the green!
