laughs,, ok,, I could not resist,, and went out and got the 14-24 2.8,, beast..
I had 500 dollars saved,, and well,, it sets the target on how much stuff I have to
sell before the credit card bill next month,,
SWEET,, maybe its my age, but I just like the no compromise approach of this
lens, its not bad,, now,, is it built as well as the old pro lens, NO NO NO,,
If this had been built 10 years earlier,, it would have been metal, with that really
nice crinkle finish,, course it would be heavier, but,, more of a tank,, and the
cover would not be plastic, but would have been a nice metal lid,,
but,, for today's day,, its still built well,, and a true Pro lens.
I'll start phasing it in, and I really liked that it came with a custom belt bag -- YEA!!!!1
that is exactly how I will shoot,,
I can see going out with
the 14-24,,
the 35-70
and the 18x200 on my little camel bag on my back,,
can easily swap out the 34-70,, by tossing it in the 14-24 belt bag,,,
Yes I will have a slight gap,, but who cares,, can move a bit with the feet if neccessary,,
oh,, what about the holy trinity,,
interesting question,,
so, do I sell for example my
20-35
35x70
for a 24-70 2.8,, mmm maybe someday,,
but for now,, no.
now,, looking forward for some ultra wide pictures !!!! (besides using my 15mm 3.5).
I am going to the Dayton Air Museum maybe, oh,, the 14-24 will be great there.
