A blast attending a Red Sox game with a gear,,
laughs, I wonder why the Press core is so interested in getting my photo!

You can see how Nikon has plastered the stickers,, but I think it was split between Nikon and Canon lens,, lots of serious glass
oh,, maybe they were actually shooting this !!

Line Drive Right up the toward 1st base,,, like that I got the ball in the frame, that was hard,,
Is he going to make it ???????

Hold your Breath!!!! Slide!!!!

and he is .......................................

SAFE! you can cleary see the runner's foot taggin the base, and the 1st baseman just missing,,,
I like this sequence because it captured the story as a sequence (even did not include 3 inbetween pictures),
not bad for a older 80-400 and a NON SPORTS D800,, in Burst Mode,, shooting RAW/JPEG
which gets me to my point,, that chasing the internet for gear advice is mixed,, Most will say to avoid the D800 for action orienated shots ,,, sure,, of course,, don't get one,,,, but seems to work fine.
Yes,, a few more FPS would be nice,, but I am not complaining
I shot at ISO 1600,, as high as I EVER want to push it,, but, I wanted fairly fast speed (1/300th to 1/500th) of a second,, and I think that noise is within reason, (no noise reductions,, and these are off the JPEGs, because ai wanted
to post up here some quick shots,, it will take me a while to pick and choose my raw edits.
anyway,, I had a great time,, the game flew by, and I think I got some good shots out of the event, I just picked these shots, because these are the EXACT shot I took following the one of the photographers taking a picture of me,, instead of the action
