I was in a dark place, no tripod,, so on one of these few occasions that I pushed the ISO up to 5000 which for me is very high (typically shoot between 200-1200 ISO, but in this situation, you take what you can get.
Course, if I could use a tripod, and set the ISO back to normal level, would have been nicer, but this captures at lease some of the
details of this great old Opera House in a small town..
One never know waht one finds tucked away in quiet corners...
Camera was my D800 with my 20-35 set at 4.5,, 1/60th which is not too bad for being Hand held, I did not want to go more open then 4.5 for DOF, but that is about the slowest I wanted to risk for being hand held, I
can hand hold 1/30th,, or so, but the risk increase, and would so prefer to be faster than 1/125th most of the time hand holding, and with a Di800, definitely did not want to push faster than ISO 5000.. I think
it came out pretty good considering the condtions an camera setting.
oh, and how did my 35-70 new lens from Japan,, - Fantastic..
I did test my old 35-70,, actually it works fairly well, but sometimes it seems to hunt in Auto Focus mode, but it does work, just not as pristine as this new one. I am hoping to clear
maybe 150 dollars,,
