I remember the days,, when film was dying,,, and people were buying new DSLRs,, or even high end Point and shoots, flooding the market with old gear. and lens price will fair were reasonable. Old lens are stil a bargain compared to old,,but you have to think, if one is shelling out 600 dollars for a 15 year old lens,, Maybe,, that would be better as a downpayment (or core starting amount) for a len lens.One can put 600 dolllars in an envelope, and add 50 dollars per pay period (I get paid twice a month), and well in 10 or so pay periods, could be getting close to that newer lens.. I'll most likely,, not go for quite as pristine 35-70, oh well.  darn,, and it was so shiny too.</blockquote>
