Jan 12, 2014, Day 12, Shot 12 Ok. Today today I used three of the photographic P's that I can remember: Planning, Preparation and Persistence. And I still managed to mess some things up by leaving the ISO set waaaay too hight on the D90. This is a learning thread, right? Sea Oats in front of a sunset, at nearly the same spot I took the Day 11 sunset. The Loons just wouldn't come any closer... An overturned tree's shallow roots. This tree was likely downed during one of the tropical storms we've had visit us in the last several years. I thought the patterns in it were interesting. All of these photos were taken with my D90 and a 30-35-year-old Nikkor 300 f4.5 manual focus lens. All photos were also set for exposure manually without any metering in the camera. In other words, take a shot, look at the shot, change shutter speed and aperture toward a more correct exposure. And repeat until you think you've got it right and then Photoshop the daylights out of it at home. WM
