I only use Topaz when I want to bring out some part of the shot that I think needs a little extra oomf.I very seldom sharpen the whole image all together. I never sharpen sky and I only sharpen water  seldom. Mostly with action shots, like if the bird is taking off the water, or a white water rafter is getting splashed on the face.
