Where to find Roseate Spoonbills

Looking to find places in the Tampa-Clearwater-St. Pete area where I can find Roseate Spoonbills to watch and photograph. Any ideas would be very helpful. Any rookeries around that I might be able to get in to? Thanks in advance for any info that anyone can provide.

Don't know if they're open yet, but my shooting buddy always went to Fort DeSoto State Park. They were closed after the back-to-back hurricanes that hit in 2024. I think they're scheduled to reopen soon.

As with any bird, there's no guarantee they'll be there. There were four spoonies 1.5 miles from my house (at Wakodahatchee) in the morning and gone 15 minutes later.

For days, we heard about the Red Masked parakeets at a local park. My friend saw them one day, the next they were gone.
