What software do you use to stitch together a time-lapse sequence?

Question - what software is used to make a time lapse sequence of images? While at the desert this weekend I did an 18 sec time lapse of the moon moving lower in the sky and I would like to prepare them to be viewed in movie form.

Thanks in advance!!

I think Windows Movie Maker will do that for you. It is just a slide show.

Yeah, I tried that and you're right, it's just a fast moving slide show. But I'm looking to make it more movie-like, kind of like those shots of the clouds going back quickly or nighttime traffic in a large city. It doesn't seem that I can get Movie Maker to set something like that up.

In photo shop cs6 add your photos to the timeline then you can control fade in , fade out, cross fade, ect, and add music , have the photos change on the beat ! Well that's what I would do :)

I'm not sure I'm following you. Is there a movie making function in PS?

Adobe Premier Elements 10 (I believe 10 is the latest) It's a full blown movie editor/creation package...

You basically load all your assets (stills, clips, sounds, etc) to a panel/project... and have multiple timelines... You then drag the assets to their own timeline... each timeline and asset can be independently edited, and timed... and then very much like an HDR process, the timelines are over-laid each other to give a cohesive movie... you can time each image on its timeline to keep beat with your music timeline... There's also an automatic mode... that will time everything to your music line... It's very robust... They also have a bunch of free packaged stuff... that you can use like styles to give your movie a consistent look and feel... as well as music that is computer spaced/timed to give you a music line that is tailored to your image lines without sounding like a broken record that's skipping...

Okay, that took me awhile to find. Turns out if you stay primarily in the "Photography" mode you never actually see the timeline. And because I refused to google timeline, it took me a good minutes to find it but on the positive side, I did re-learn quite a bit about Photoshop that I had forgotten even existed.

Thanks again! Hopefully I'll have a 10 sec video ready to show off soon. It would have been longer but a ton of individual images on a D800 can eat up SD space mighty quickly.
