I knew you couldn't bring in a tripod, but there is no mention of a monopod (though all the pros are using them).  The rep did some research, called me back, and told me that a monopod is permissible, as long as it doesn't interfere with any other attendees.  I usually take my D5100/55-200 set up and it's always been allowed.  Now, the monopod will really help me keep it steady in the lower light long shots.If I get brave, I may (one day) bring my D800/80-400.</blockquote>
