The very large tree is a Brazilian Tipu, planted in 1962. It is a favorite resting spot for our hawks and a prime breakfast hangout for all the small bug eaters. So far there are three hummers nesting in the lower branches. The small grayish tree just behind the chairs is a lemon guava, where the squirrels deny us any fruit and we are hoping a hermit thrush is starting a nest. The hawk's nest is in one of the big eucs in the background
