"CURVES" – Silversnapper's Choice

Post a photo of Curves
Silversnapper is hoping to see images that convey 'Movement' or a feeling of 'Tranquility' or perhaps 'Sensuality' of a non-sexual kind.

Let's see how creative you can be! Color, B&W, HDR...anything goes!

DO NOT SHOOT OR POST IMAGES UNTIL WEDNESDAY January 24th.
This early announcement of the topic is to give a little think time, before the challenge begins. Photos must be taken and submitted between 00:00 UTC of the start date and 23:59 UTC of the end date.

If the forum EXIF viewer does not show for any reason, listing the camera and capture date/time below the photo is acceptable. Listing exposure info, lens & focal length is encouraged so others can learn.

The Rules

1. Any photo submitted for the Weekly Photo Challenge must be taken using a Nikon Camera! Any photo submitted for a weekly challenge must be taken during the dates specified in the challenge thread and taken by YOU!

2. If the EXIF does not show using a browser EXIF app, listing the camera and capture date/time below the photo is required. Listing exposure info, lens & focal length is encouraged so others can learn.

3. Photos must be posted in this thread to be considered. Links to photos will not be considered an entry (In other words, no Flikr, Photobucket, or similar links)

4. Only one photo entry per member for each week, unless otherwise noted.

5. All regularly active members of Nikonites are allowed to participate, including moderators and administrators.

Voting

During the submission & like periods, please click the Thanks/Like button to vote for your favorite images. You can vote for as many as you want! At the end of the week, you will have the opportunity to vote again for the top 3 photos for this challenge!

There will be no cash or prizes awarded for the Weekly Photo Challenges, unless specifically noted by the site administrator.

Any photo will be accepted for the challenge. Edited or straight out of the camera, it does not matter. You are left with complete freedom to do whatever genre of photography you wish to do, and your own interpretation of the challenge subject.

Please note - Rule 2 changed.

I need a determination as to whether this image is eligible. It is a composite of two images. The image of my wife, @Seanette was taken a few hours ago, well within the time frame of the challenge. However, I have composited it with an image of a grassy scene taken almost ten years ago. The EXIF data are from the image of my wife, and are contained in the attached file Curves_9245_12487672144_ef50989424_o_g3000x1854.jpg.EXIF.txt

The question, of course, is if an image is composed from more than one, do all images have to have been taken during the challenge period, or does only one image need to be taken within the challenge period?

If this picture is deemed to be ineligible, then I will withdraw it, and submit, in its place, a much less interesting direct, non-composited image. Just please, be prompt about giving a ruling, as I have, at this time, only about eighteen hours before the deadline.

As I was conceiving this image, I was thinking of some sort of supernatural female character a nymph or a fairy, or a pixie, or something like that, sleeping in a natural setting. The curves, of course, are from the greatest source of visually-appealing curves, which is the female form.

OK, here's my final entry. I had much better luck, than I expected, finding a suitable grassy setting near my apartment. Not nearly as good as in my original, but good enough. But now, both images that went into this composition were taken with the challenge time frame; @Seanette last night, and the grass this morning.

I'm including two files of EXIF data—one for the picture of @Seanette, and another for the picture of the grassy area that I used as a setting.

Both pictures were taken with ancient non-electronic, non-AI lenses; @Seanette with my 1972 50mm ƒ/1.4, and the grass with my late-1960s or early 1970s Vivitar 85-205mm ƒ/3.8 zoom lens.
