Weekend Shooting Plans!

Just out of curiosity, being Mother's Day weekend, where do you plan shooting this weekend?

I may take my wife to the NC Zoo....it's so big we didn't get to see it all last time!

Just cookin' out for the wife and mom, so might be some candid shoots around the house and yard, but nothing big this weekend. All the focus will be on those two special ladies, so won't be out seeking to improve the shooting skills, but rather the "BEEF OVER FIRE" skills.

I hear ya Pretzel...if our daughter didn't have to work, we might have a big family get together, but my Mother lives in St. George, Utah, and Mother in law up in Syracuse, so just me and the wife. She loves being my assistant! NOT!

That's near Weedsport....my wife is from Syberia-cuse....I drove by Montezuma many times....on the way to Rochester or Buffalo. Do you live near Syracuse?

I'm closer to Rochester. Been through Syracuse numerous times. You ever gone in the Refuge? It's pretty nice.

Yes...I've been in there....when there was snow on the ground....the geese love the place.

Another thing I'm going to do is try out this new ball head on my carbon fiber mono pod. For some reason it just kept getting my attention when I went to my favorite camera store. It is much lighter then the other ball head I had on there.

Since I am a caregiver for my mother, I am always here as her needs and care is a priority. Yesterday I found some bleeding hearts (flower) in a very unusual color. So far I've only seen them in pink or white. This particular variety is a cross between dark pink and dark salmon in color. So my weekend will be spent getting them planted. Since I want to put them in an area that isn't already a garden, I need to get some garden soil, weed block, and mulch. And of course I will want to take photos of the flowers to see if anyone has ever seen this particular shade of color.
