[QUOTE="weebee, post: 407958, member: 17696"] Jan 22 2015 Day 22/365 Mefoto day trip tripod Took it out this morning to see if I made a wise buy here. After putting on different lenses and different positions. I can say Mefoto built a winner. It handles my D7100 with a 55-300mm lenses with no issues with tipping or becoming unstable. The only things I noticed that may be a concern are: 1) The included ballhead. While well made and very able to lock my camera and largest lenses in any position. It does not have a pan feature. Not a huge issue. But I didn't like it and put a different ballhead on. Which also took care of the second concern. I put on my 3Pod H1 ballhead on it. It added about 3/4" to the overall closed height of the tripod. But still fit in the included case with room to spare. 2) The included ballhead. I knew this going into this purchase and knew I had a work around on hand already. The ballhead for this tripod is a unique/smaller size. And it will not accept the normal plates used. If this will be your only tripod. Or you don't mind switching plates then it is a non-point. You can buy extra plates for 28.00 a piece if so inclined. But, don't get me wrong. It is a capable ballhead. Now, the pictures. Sorry my studio (dining room table) had laundry on it. So this is my back up studio!
