Trying to make a warm and intimate portrait, a little dark on purpose, is it to dark?

I took 2 images, 1 of the couple and 1 with blur from the sun shining down, and placed them on top of each other.

iso 800, f/4, 1/800

Nice picture and lovely mood. But, to my taste they are not taking enough space in the image and the colour distracts me a bit. I'd like to see a B&W version (sepia maybe). You voluntarily made it dark, but we loose the bride's profile in the dark (maybe it could be dodged a bit to make it pop from the background). And I would like to see them touching each other, hand on the neck or just holding hands close tho the husband's chest.

That's my take, but you've got something going with this mood.

Yes, she looks to dark, you are right. Looks really good in bw, but loose some of the details, I think.
Ill look at brighten her up tomorrow, thanks for your reply!

The image is too dark for my tastes and the out of focus objects in the foreground are distracting. Our eyes are naturally drawn to areas of light, especially in a dark photograph and some are right over the groom's head.

Try to de-saturate the background at least, I kind of see rainbow colours in the lights that I find distracting.
