Do not listen to people with a chip on their shoulders or JUST A NIKON (or CANON etc) brand, and nothing else will do.My experience is that if you are serious about one camera, stick to it and don't jump to other brands because someone sounded good or better than your brand.The Nikon 70-200 F2.8 VR is a dream lens (in my eyes) and it is as sharp as it gets! It has 2 VR options and OFF also. If you can find someone who has this lens, please let them show you when  to use each VR options and or off option.  Youtube also has many great videos on usage of this incredible lens.The Czech people say: "We are not rich to buy CHEEP STUFF" and I live by this rule, since I've learned the HARD WAY!!!Please ask any time and if I can honestly help, I'll do just that.Sometimes I'm sick and can't answer as soon as the same day or two (I have severe Fibromyalgia and it is limiting me more and more....).
