I bought a Nero trigger for lightning shots back in March. We've had a total of 1 significant thunderstorm since. Coincidence?

That's the way it goes. You set up your stuff, wait for hours, nothing happens. Tear the stuff down, go inside and the s**t hits the fan.
Run outside, set up stuff again, all goes quiet.
