download it. If you've installed the new version of Capture NX-D you get the Picture Control Utility 2 as well and when you open a pic in ViewNX-i there should be no problem.

I downloaded it to check if I couldn't grab any profiles out of it and have to say it works quite well for me. It behaves a bit awkward when I maximize it but when opening folders, it loads the shots fast. I might use it as long as it behaves well since I need a fast NEF viewer for my first selection.
It also does better with a second monitor it seems. NX2 behaved funny at times.
Edit: The only problem this far is when I click x to close it, I get an OS error message that "View closed unexpectedly etc.."
Well maybe unexpected for OS X but I clicked the darn button so it doesn't surprise me.
I'm now D/L the new Capture to see if it does as well. It can't get much worse than the previous.

I can't say I even notice any difference between the new and old version of Capture on the Mac. There seems to be hardly any change.
I however still have the same issue with the cache. I can set the cache limit Capture uses to whatever I like but OS-X just keeps storing everything in its cache anyways.

That's too bad since it'll slow down the whole thing. I quite like the View-Capture setup as it is now.
