So when is South Korea Veterans of America day and all the other ones! I always believed that Veterans day (originally known as Armistice Day) is a federal holiday in the United States observed annually on November 11, for honoring military veterans of the United States Armed Forces covered them all?

From the Vietnam War Museum

Today we honor all Vietnam Veterans who served in our Armed Forces during the Vietnam War.

Vietnam Veterans Day was signed into law six years ago to recognize all who served in the military during the Vietnam War. It’s meant to be observed every year on this date.

It was on this day 50 years ago that the United States Military Assistance Command, Vietnam was disestablished. It was also the day that the last U.S. combat troops departed Vietnam and when the last of our POWs were released by Hanoi.

In honor of all our veterans who served during the Vietnam War, as well as the more than 58,300 men and women whose names appear on the wall at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C. and on our replica wall at the museum..

Sincerely,

John Hyatt
President, Board of Directors
Army Aviator, Vietnam
Tour 1: Oct 1965 - Oct 1966
Tour 2: Aug 1968 - Aug 1969

We are technically still at war with North Korea. We have just been in an extended 70 year cease-fire agreement (that has had skirmishes here and there).

I am a Vietnam veteran. There was a US in front of my svc number. I have never joined a veterans organization. I refused to go to the VA for treatment. I put it down and moved on with my life. I see all these guys wearing hats etc but I have no interest. Just my opinion. I think it's sad that it's all they have to cling to.

Thank you for the info. I had no idea there was a day for Vietnam Veterans. Back at the time they finished their service, they weren't treated well, and their medical issues weren't addressed well. Many Vietnam Vets don't even want to talk about their experiences or be recognized which is a shame considering what they went through afterwards. However, I am very appreciative of their efforts no matter what.
