Hi everyone,
I’m using a Nikon Z5 II with the 28–75mm f/2.8 lens for video. I want to achieve smooth, cinematic focus transitions when tapping between two subjects on the screen.
I’ve already tried:
Am I missing another setting, or is this a limitation of the Z5 II autofocus system?
Would manual focus with peaking be my only option for true cinematic pulls?
Any tips from other Z5 II users would be greatly appreciated!

I’ve already tried:
- Movie mode with AF-F
- AF speed set to –5
- AF subject tracking sensitivity set to 1
- Wide-area AF (no face/eye detect)
- Touch to focus between two objects
