My boy Cyrus. What do you think about the depth of field in this one? Too shallow maybe?

Maybe so I think. His face is so well focused that the rest of his body becomes a distraction.Crop it down to just his head and you will have a great portrait.

I like it and I think the red tie adds a lot. I wouldn't want to crop it out, though I think it may be a bit shallow on the DOF. Very pretty dog you have.

I sure appreciate all your thoughts so far... I do agree it is too shallow and I am thinking it needs to definitely have the DOF opened up. I am not sure myself about cropping it so tight and loosing the tie. It seams to loose the character of the picture a little?
