I should probably take some pictures of the aircraft on static display at the AFB. I just realized I don't have any digital pictures of the C-141 that I spent almost 2 decades flying as a Loadmaster on. They have one on display, and I probably loaded that individual aircraft several times. Unfortunately, 24mm is as wide as I have. That 15mm would come in handy for an image of this kind. While in the AF Reserves, I was the squadron photographer as an additional duty. Most of the time that was just taking pictures of folks at awards ceremonies and retirements. I remember getting some shots of our crew on an unplanned humanitarian mission. They wanted some of my photos for the newsletter/magazine for the wing. Unfortunately, the upshot of it was one of the guys had a mustache that was out of limits and we all got a dressing down for that, despite the fact we did a great job of creating some good will with another country. Since I spoke Spanish, I was elected to give one of the local Air Force big wigs, a tour of the aircraft. My neighbor swore she saw me on a national news spot shaking hands with some of the local dignitaries. I had a great time flying around the world during the 80s and 90s.
