Venus Optics announced new 60mm f/2.8 Ultra-Macro lens: the world?s first 2:1 magnification lens with infinity focus | Photo Rumors
So, supposedly MF lens that can do a whopping 2:1 by itself, and otherwise offer infinity focus and tons of vignetting when used on FX format.
6.5cm or so working distance for 2:1 magnification.
$379 retail.
Some people got their mouths juicy about it, but I honestly don't understand how this isn't some junky, overpriced old-tech loupe.
My Tammy SP 90 has AF all the way down to 1:1 mag, and with the M extension tube, can do what at least looks to me like 2:1 at 6.5cm MFD. Costs about $200, tube is probably 10-15$.
