I think your analysis has been very thorough and well thought out. At this point I would still go for the D7000 and a kit lens like an 18-105. Fairly inexpensive lens but the added performance of the D7000 in ISO will still allow you to do much of the low light challenges you mention. The only reason I say wait and go for the D7000 is newer technology and higher performance, especially where you need it. Just my 2 cents.</p></blockquote><p></p>
