I spent a good portion of 2010 and 2011 building wind turbans in southern and eastern idaho. There are areas where I dont care where you live with in 20 miles, your going to see these towers and it does significantly detract from the landscape. Cell towers are just as bad and there has been better ways for years they are just not as cost effective.
