Travelling to Rome?!

Ok I am off to Italy next week, I am trying to work out if I should take my Lowepro Waterproof backpack which fits in the overhead carry area or my Pelican case which will also fit in the overhead area.
What is everyone's thoughts regarding this?

I might have answered my own question

Redesigned my Pelican case, it has the 16-35, 70-200, 14mm, 50mm. Only lenses missing are 150-600 which I doubt I need, my 85mm 1.4 but the 70-200 will cover that and my 90mm macro but doubt I will be doing any macro.

Flash and diffuser will be in my bag that goes in the cargo bay along with the chargers and tripod.

Hmm no I do not but I guess I can buy one at duty free thanks for the tip.

I guess if I take my Lowepro backpack it would be much better suited.

Yeah a backpack would be more suitable, although when walking around city centres all day I prefer a smaller bag, just enough for a body & maybe a second lens.
