Whats up Glenn. camera is nice. my friend says his D3s D4 and D4s all have this issue where sometimes it just wont release the shutter. the camera seems to have found focus or is pretty much there and basically locked on it, but it hesitates to release the shutter. I also experienced this first hand. was with my friend shooting at the ceremony. the guy comes to break the cup (jewish ceremony) I shoot all the family wide and he shoots tele. he gave me his d3s and I came to shoot him breaking and beforehand practiced a practice shot. all went fine. the moment came, it locked focus from the way the image was clear in the viewfinder but it didnt release. I had the same experience last week when I shot it at a bar mitzvah. the boy was reading his speech and then at the end the parents came to hug him. I was shooting like nothing the whole time, firing off tons of frames, came to shoot the hug and it hesitated to release. and ther was tons of light. I shot in a restaurant in the afternoon with windows all around. not why its so and I now have unrest with the camera. now I know there will be critical times I cant trust the camera and will have to be on my guard and have my finger close to the camera focus mode and slip the lever up to manual to get a few shots and hope it catches focus. tomorrow shooting an event. full daylight. someones back yard event in a big villa. ill let you know. cheers Glenn. getting some shut eye
