The lens that I rented may have been abused. There were just aspects that I really was disappointed in. The sharpness is great, but the focus issues are too much for me. I won't take the risk that I order one and have the same issues that I did with the rental. jOne of the biggest issues was the focus ring locking. The issue with the Tokina is that you can turn the ring all you want in AF and it will do nothing, so if it locked I had to pull it into MF and then pop back up to AF. Had to do this at least 5-10 times last weekend.</blockquote>
