You will need to be careful when trying to use a teleconverter on a lens that isn't listed. Some lenses have bulbous rear elements that can get damaged if the rear element hits the glass on the teleconverter. And even if it fits, it doesn't mean it would work. You could always call Nikon and ask to be sure.

I know it is compatible with at least a couple of older teleconverters but I will be sure to double check before I buy anything, thanks.

Wow, those are pretty inspiring shots. I can see where you would be looking at the TC14-EII. I like it. Causes me to pause and think a bit as well. Thanks for sharing the added details. Also, thanks for the other lens to add to my list to consider... I was not in a rush anyway. Might as well add a couple more to consider...

Don't know if you have done this yet, but I sold my D7100 when I bought my D750. I ended up regretting not having the reach, so I bought one of those refurbished D7100's when Adorama was blowing them out for $490 around Christmas. The more I get into photography the more I like the crop cameras with more DOF as well. I probably use it as much or more than the D750. If it wasn't for high ISO, I would not own an FF.
