It will make focusing with the beast (600mm f/4) and TC-300 mounted much easier and faster. Every bit as easy as focusing with the microprism screen in the D700. The microprism blacks out a little but the split image still works perfectly. Without the TC-300 the microprism and split image work perfectly. The ground glass is also much easier to use than the standard screen that came with the D7100.I am headed to the Circle B Bar Preserve outside of Lakeland FL this weekend. It and the D700 will no doubt get a lot of use!</blockquote>
