BURST MODE! PRIMAL BEAST GOES EVEN MORE PRIMAL!!! I used to think... 3 FPS! Wow, that's a lot of rapid fire shooting! I've used the 3 fps quite a few times, shooting at the Scottish Games, quick bursts trying to catch an animal leaping, etc., but finally got the chance to test out the D7100 and it's 6 FPS at the ball game. PHENOMENAL! I was, of course, shooting in RAW + JPEG mode, so I filled the buffer quite quickly, but the extra speed DOES make a difference! If I wasn't worried about shutter life (as I want this camera to hang around for a while) I would always shoot in CH, as that rapid fire shutter just makes me feel like a pro! LOL Just something about holding a camera to your eye as it goes "snik-snik-snik-snik-snik-snik" before you even have the chance to think "WOW, that's fast!" For action sports, what a feature! CAN. NOT. WAIT. for the next Scottish Games to see what I was missing between clicks last year! Now I wonder: what the heck does a D4S feel like firing off at 11 FPS? (No, I won't be upgrading any time soon. ;) ) On vacation next week, so hoping to get a chance to work with more than just a "down the street" shot using bracketing to get a nice HDR. On the other hand, was disappointed to find out that the Vello Glass LCD Protector only comes with the glass for the back LCD and not the top LCD. Ordering the Vello for the back anyway, but now need to find out where to get something for the top. Also, I need to start researching (and saving for, I guess) rapid straps, as wearing this "beast" around the neck all day long definitely wears a fellow down.
