The gap continues to close

It seems like every other week I read an article like this one. Just 20 yrs ago the thing that distinguished humans from animals were the use of tools, then it was empathy and so on but each time we thought we'd found the line an example showed up that crossed it. Now we learn that dolphins call each other by name? I'm beginning to look like we humans aren't nearly as "special" as we once thought we were...

Humans have already killed most of the very special river dolphins in most of the major river systems of the world. The pink dolphins in the Amazon are next...

Very interesting link. I agree Eye-level humans are rather narcissistic as a species and we far too often put our own needs (wants) above all else forgetting that we share this world we don't own it

I am fully supportive of the culling of humans. Any other animal on the planet that reached over 6 billion would have been culled. We have destroyed this planet for other animals and people need to remember humans are mammals and mammals are animals.

We do not own this planet, we are just the current care takers and we are doing a crappy job of it, we slaughter other animal that have taken a bite of us, yet we refuse to cull scum that have killed others because of human rights. We want to keep the sick that mother nature has decided to cull alive, we what to keep the weak alive that mother nature decided it wanted to cull, we try to prolong life against what mother nature wanted.

We need to stop and let mother nature take control again.

Yes I know I will get people claiming I am insane, but I look at life from a different point. I am not closed minded and have a open mind! I like OTHER animals over 80% of the human animals I have met on this planet, there are very good reasons for this!

From the situation you described a few days ago, you wouldn't be around to make that post!
