Back in 2013 I joined Nikonites - a time when this forum was really a hub of activity. That October @jdeg @Eduard @BackdoorHippie and I got together in Princeton, NJ to meet and join in the Scott Kelby Photo Walk. Fast forward 6 years. Jake (BackdoorHippie) donated some prints for a Cancer fund raiser which was hosted at the Mercer Oaks Country Club in West Windsor, NJ. So on Sunday I spent a little time reconnecting with him. The hummingbird image really caught my attention! It looked much more beautiful in person than it does in my pics. The waterfalls was printed on acrylic - sorry about the glare from the lights. And I remember seeing the house image posted here on Nikonites a while back. If you've never met up with other forum members, you should really consider it. I think there is a Meet-And-Greet thread somewhere on this forum. Just want to say thank you to Jake for all the times he shared his knowledge on editing. If you haven't yet checked out his web site, you can see his images here. Backdoor Arts – Photography by Jake Kurdsjuk Unfortunately I should have shot these images differently. There are a few different light sources causing color balance issues. Note to self: take a flash and a modifier in the future! ;)
