First off.......I LOVE THIS LENS!!!!
This is now my favorite lens and I have yet to take it off my camera. I have had if for a week now and absolutely have fell in love with the "bokeh" WOW. I am putting some shots up to show you the effects. If you have any doubt or are looking in to a portrait lens I definalely recommend this peice of glass. All of these were taken at f1.8 with a 1/400 sutter at ISO-200.Thanks

I will post some more photos tomorrow night after I have a chance to shoot with it all day. I am hoping to get some more portraits in with it on Sunday since I have an anniversary shoot for a couple I met online. I am taking some 30yr anniversary shots for them and I am really excited about getting to use this 85mm f1.8. I will post those as well. Thanks
Jeff, I would love to eventually get the 24-70mm f2.8 to shoot around with but I have to say I am really impressed with this 85mm Nikon. I know now that Nikon lenes will be all I purchase from now on.

Here are some more shots from the 85mm f1.8 today and I was practicing on moving targets and let me tell you man it is hard to hit a f1.8 and get the focus just right. Here are some shots from today, let me what ya think. (They are post processed with some contrast and temp plus some clarity but not a lot, the lens does most of the work for the colors.)

Jeremy, nice photos and glad that you are happy with the lens!! I just got a 35 and a 50 F/1.8. Playing with the 50 today, I have to keep all really steady at 1.8 and make sure I am focused on what I want!! It goes oof real quick it you are not careful!! When it is on, it is superb and the backgroud blowout is really good...

I like it so far and need to do some more shooting with it.. I will surely get a few snaps over the weekend and also get to play more outside with the 35mm.

Here is a shot with my D5100 and the 85mm f1.8, my son was on the swing and I used the single focus and just waited for the right moment. The shutter speed was at 1/1250 and was just enought to freeze him. Thanks

Here is just one more to kinda sweeten the pot if anyone was on the fence on buying this lens. I love this shot!!!

It's a little noisy because I was at 2500 ish ISO because she was crawling on the floor in some shadows and it was hard to get some light down there. Anyway I think it looks fine. Wish I would have had my D600 with me for the ISO capabilities but oh well my fault.

Thanks,
Jeremy V.
