Although this is not a Nikon but a Canon video, I thought some of you would find it interesting to see a technician dismantle a 5D mark II with only a screwdriver and a pair of tweezers. I found this by luck trying to watch japanese tv on the net.

Here is the link jibtv.com : Japan Live TV - Video

I like how they censored the important information on the chips. I'd also like to see him put it back together. Awesome program though! I love taking things apart.

I have to admit the video is a little long and it does promote the brand, but I found it very interesting to actually see someone take one apart. Of course they didn't put it back together afterwards, but I'm sure another 7-10 hours and he'd have a fully functional camera.

What is scary is, that I understood all of it. I was an electronics tech in the marines and worked and troubleshot equipment down to the component level. I also had a VCR repair business and I learned the mechanics of them by taking them apart. But, with technology the VCR got cheaper to buy and my business wasn't needed. So, on to my next business, photography.
