Well.....I've had the lens long enough to realize it is amazing for the price
but soooo slow to focus and in low light sometimes it won't lock focus at all. I
tried to shoot the dogs playing ball in full sun and didn't get a single keeper. I'm still
simply amazed at the IQ on stills though. I bought the Ultra Silent Drive 70-200 f/2.8 VC
to replace it. If it's anything like my Tamron 70-300mm VC and my Tamron 24-70mm VC both
with USD I'll be happy and there's no reason to think it won't.

Too bad about the focus, it is the only major issue I've heard of with that lens. The new VC version is awesome. I've tested it at my dealer and it is amazing, if it wasn't for my hiking, I'd have picked it up instead of the Nikon f4.
