My wife for a while had the Sigma 18-200 on a D80 and we preferred what we got off it to the Tamron. However there is a lot to be said for having all that range in one lens, no lens changes so you always have access to the focal length. A lot of it depends on what you shoot and how big you print, if its less than 10x8/A4 its probably not much of an issue in the iq dept as long as you can get rid of distortions in post.</p></blockquote><p></p>
