While searching around for an upgrade to my 55-200 VR, I came across this thread. I hope no one minds if I glom on to it... but I'll ease the rudeness by first stating that B&H has it for $449, but there is a mail-in rebate for $100 until 6/30 for it, for a final price of $349 if you believe in rebates. Presumably the rebate is from Tamron so other places may have it, too. Anyhoo... Is anyone using it for indoor shooting? I use my 55-200 for indoor shots at a hockey game, relatively low light and high speeds. With the D7000's good ISO features I can get some decent shots, but recently I bought a used lens that had noticeably better results (my wife: "You were on fire that night!"). Unfortunately that lens came apart on me and isn't worth repairing, so now I'm thinking about an upgrade to the 55-200 and wondering about this one. The shots of the birds and other animals posted above are excellent, nice work. :) Thanks!
