[QUOTE="Fortkentdad, post: 453217, member: 24285"] I've had my Tamron 24-70 VC a couple of weeks now and have really come to love it. Back in April I had bought a used Nikkor 28-70 2.8 that I found at The Camera Store while in Calgary and since I was on a week's vacation was taking a lot of photos (as in about 1,000) but on my last full day in town the zoom failed and thankfully I was able to return it to the store for a full store credit (not a refund but almost as good). I have an old 28-85 AFD from my film days and wondered did I really need to upgrade it - it works fine. And the new lens was a lot of money. I was able to get to a small camera show hosted by McBains Camera in Edmonton earlier this month and had a chance to handle the Nikon, Sigma and Tamron lenses I was considering. The Siggy was their 24-105 ART F/4. We left the show with the Tamron in a bag. And went from the Camera Show to a Parrot Show. Talk about a perfect place to try out a new lens. All shot on my D610 - no flashes.
