Tamron 150-600 AF Fine Tune Settings

Just curious if any other owners find that their fine tune setting for 600mm is drastically different than 500 and below?

I'm finding it rather annoying to have to keep flipping through fine tune settings if I want to shoot at less than 600mm....

Is my copy worse than anyone else's?

Seriously thinking about exchanging it for the Sigma C + USB dock....

Yeah it is different by a few points across the board. What software or method are you using to fine tune? My attempt with the dot tune was a bit different than when using Reikan Focal. With Focal, it came in with just a 3 point difference over all so pretty easy to pick the average and not worry about it further. Good luck getting it tuned in.

My settings differ from 150mm to 600mm. If I remember well it was something like +6 to -6. I tuned it to 420mm (lock) since that's what I mostly use.

See mine is horrible at 0 at 150 to +20 at 600. To get a sharp image at each end I absolutely have to go and adjust the fine tune before I take the shot.

I've used dot tune and focal both give me similar results.

Once you hit the extreme of fine-tuning it is better you send it in to adjust focus. It can become unreliable. +20 is no good.

To hell with Tamron.... Decided to order the Sigma and the USB dock. I'll handle this situation myself.
