[QUOTE="hark, post: 248342, member: 13196"] This morning was the first time I saw this thread, and I was very dismayed reading through it. I am a big fan of Jake's photography (more specifically the artistry he is able to produce) and am saddened to hear he won't be involved in a lot of other discussions at this time. :( Jake, I've learned a great deal from you. You've answered so many questions and have done so with incredible knowledge while explaining things in easy to understand concepts. I, for one, will miss your input. Yes, I know you will still be doing your 365 thread, but you've been involved in a lot of other threads that contain important discussions. It's been a lot of those comments that helped guide me to make informed decisions. :D And for all those countless times your input has benefited me, I thank you. Just this morning I PM'd Jake discussing EXIF data. It so happens I've been enjoying the tree photos he's been posting lately. Well today I went out in search of a cannon (yes, an artillery cannon), but unfortunately the one I wanted to photograph was no longer there. For some reason, trees with light or white-colored bark were commanding my attention so when I headed to the river, there was a beautiful tree with white bark beckoning me. The sky was filled with lots of clouds, but the sun broke through just at this moment and settled on this tree. This may not be the best photo in the world, but apparently it was my calling to take this photo today. Jake, this one's for you. Thank you for all you do.
